Last updated: 16 September 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing or using TakeCare ("the App"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the App.
2. Use of the App
TakeCare is a medication reminder and record-keeping companion. It lets you store medicines, schedules, instructions and inventory, receive reminders, and record doses as taken, snoozed or skipped.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
You are responsible for ensuring that any medicine names, strengths, instructions, times and other information you enter into the App are accurate and match the advice given to you by a qualified clinician.
3. Not Medical Advice
The App is a reminder and record-keeping tool only. It records what you tell it. It does not decide whether you should take a dose, change a dose, start or stop a medicine, or seek care.
TakeCare is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nursing, pharmacy, diagnostic or treatment advice. It is not a substitute for a prescription, a patient information leaflet, or advice from a doctor, pharmacist or other qualified professional.
You should not delay, ignore or change medical treatment because of information shown in the App. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
Inventory estimates, such as tablets remaining or days until you run out, are based on the figures you enter and the doses you record. They are approximate and may be wrong if a schedule, pack size or recorded dose is incorrect.
4. Information You Enter
The App uses information you provide, such as medicine names, strengths, instructions, reminder times, dates, inventory and optional prescription notes.
You are responsible for the information you enter and for how you share or store any history, alerts or PDF reports created with the App.
If you add a family member or caregiver, you must have the right to share any information you send them.
5. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, graphics, software, text, features and other content, is owned by or licensed to the developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may use the App for personal and lawful purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, reproduce, sell or commercially exploit the App or any part of it unless expressly permitted by law or with the developer's written permission.
6. Purchases and Subscriptions
Basic reminders, taken/skipped tracking and history for up to three medicines are available without payment. The App may also offer TakeCare Pro and other optional paid features, subscriptions or in-app purchases.
All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's applicable terms and conditions.
Where subscriptions are offered, they may automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in accordance with Apple's subscription management procedures.
The price, duration and terms of any subscription or purchase, including monthly, yearly or lifetime options, will be presented to you before you complete the transaction. Payment amounts shown in the App may vary by region and are charged in the currency of your Apple ID.
7. Availability and Updates
We may update, modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the App at any time without notice.
We do not guarantee that reminders will always be delivered, or that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device or version of an operating system. You remain responsible for taking your medicines as directed, including if a notification is delayed, missed or not displayed.
8. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services to provide certain functionality, including notifications, Apple Watch actions, payment processing, analytics, diagnostics or other services.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to the terms and privacy policies of those third parties.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
We do not warrant that the App, its reminders, inventory estimates, history or reports will be accurate, complete, reliable, suitable for a particular purpose or free from errors.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, cost or expense arising from or relating to your use of the App, a missed or delayed reminder, reliance on inventory or history, or any decision about a medicine.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by applicable law.
11. User Responsibility
You are responsible for how you use the App and for any decisions you make about your medicines or health.
You should obtain appropriate professional advice from a qualified clinician or pharmacist for any medical question.
12. Privacy
Your use of the App is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is handled when you use the App.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will become effective when the updated terms are made available through the App or associated website.
Your continued use of the App after changes have been made constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable to the developer, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
15. Contact
If you have any questions about these Terms and Conditions, please contact the developer using the contact details provided on the App's App Store listing or below using the form provided.
